The Tortoise and the Hare

Once upon a time there was a hare who, boasting how he could run faster than anyone else, was forever teasing tortoise for its slowness. Then one day, the irate tortoise challenged the hare for a race. They decided the course which is the peak of the hill. The next day at dawn they started the race. The hare founded the tortoise was painfully slow so he decided to eat lunch. Since his lunch was too heavy he took a nap. After he woke up, the tortoise was scarcely a yard from the finish. He ran as fast as he can but it was just too late, tortoise had beaten him to the winning post. The hare was so mad and he asked for another race. The tortoise accepted and he offered the new course of the race which is from the top of the hill to the bottom hill. After one week, they met at the top of the hill. The hare thought this time there is no way that the tortoise can win but the tortoise looked so confident. The race started, and the hare leaped as fast as he can. Suddenly the tortoise flipped his body over and started to use his shell as a sled. It was very fast and it passed the hare at the halfway along the course. The hare got frustrated and he gave up the race. The hare was so shameful and he suffered from a deep depression after the race. One day he decided to kill himself and went out to go to the dangerous forest where lots of wolves and foxes live. As the hare step outside of his house the tortoise was waiting and he said “You are still the fastest animal in our town. I was just lucky to win, my friend.” Suddenly the hare started to cry and told the tortoise that he was sorry for teasing him and they became best friends forever.
